I am excited about beginnning the second semester of the 2009-2010 school year. I challenge my students to perform your very best as we begin the second semester. I extend the opportunity for students to stay after school to receive help, make up assignments, or discuss anything. I have an open door policy. I do ask that you let me know if you are going to stay after school so I can prepare accordingly for you. Again good luck and please do your best this semester.

END OF THE YEAR PORTFOLIO RUBRIC WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON MAY 20 WHITE AND 21 GREEN
THIS SHEET WILL TELL YOU HOW TO PUT TOGETHER YOUR FINAL PORTFOLIO FOR ALL OF YOUR DOCUMENTS!
You will need to construct an independent practice activity. (Ex. Crossword puzzle, matching game, quiz, etc.)
Due Date~ May 18, 2010
You will need to have a creative activity related to your topic that will help explain your topic and chapter. Ex. BINGO, Jeopardy, so many things you can do creatively to relate towards your topic and chapter.

ALTERNATE ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE MAY 19TH AND 20TH
Final portfolios from each student will be due on May 28, 2010.
Memorial Day is May 31, 2010 (No School)
Exam date will be announced.
The portfolios will count 80 percent of your final project grade. If you have to take the final exam, you will be receive 50 points as a presentation grade on the day that you will take my exam. If you have to take my exam your rubric will be on the back of your rubric assignment sheet.
INTRODUCTION TO CULINARY ARTS
MAKE SURE THAT YOU CONVERT YOUR DOCUMENT SO IT CAN BE COMPATIBLE WITH MY COMPUTER! IF YOU HAVE 2007 MICROSOFT, LOOK AT THE FILE TYPE OPTION TO SAVE YOUR FILE AT 1997-2000 OR 1997-2003. EMAIL ME PRIOR TO THE DUE DATE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
May 13 (G) and 14 (W), 2010~Part One: Restaurant portion is due!!!!!!!! (We will be in the auditorium. Bring your assignment in on your USB so I can save it on my computer or you will have to email your assignment to me by 5pm on May 13 (G) and May 14 (W).
May 20 (W) and 21 (G), 2010 Part Two: Menu portion is due!!!!!!!! (We will be in the auditorium. Bring your assignment in on your USB so I can save it on my computer or you will have to email your assignment to me by 5pm on May 20 (W) and 21 (G).
May 27 (G) and May 28 (W) (Early out day), 2010~ Part Three: Catering portion is due!!!!! Bring your assignment in on your USB so I can save it on my computer or you will have to email your assignment to me by 5pm on May 27 (W) and 28 (G).

Remember to be creative and professional. You will have specific deadlines for each portion of the project. I will take these individual grades and give you a classwork/homework grade. You will then have to resubmit the final project entirely to receive a final grade for the project. Remember to have fun and give me your best work.
IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS, YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO ME BEFORE THE SCHEDULED DUE DATES AND THE FINAL DUE DATE OF THE PROJECT.
