·       Student/Parent Letter, course syllabus, classroom management plan, health card, green card, free reduced application, introduce class website, Facebook, and twitter resources, personal statement, Practice What I Preach Skit information, and motivational Cosby Show snippet & question).

September 8-9, 2011
Icebreaker Day
Personal statements are due!

·       Getting to Know You Celebration, Musical Cards, First days of school teacher test, Practice What Preach Skit Presentations

September 12-13, 2011
Motivation Day!

·       Former student guest speaker, youtube videos and questions, individual poetry assignment, skit presentations.

September 14-15, 2011

·       Beginning activity, Creating and Maintaining Healthy Relationships Chapters 1, 2, 3, Independent Activity: Cosby Show Episode/Quiz and Self Esteem Worksheet, and introduce the Paper Personality Bag Project. Due will be announced.

September 16-19, 2011

·       Beginning Activity (Ch. 1-3 Quiz), work on Paper Personality Bags utilizing all the necessary material to make your assignment “A” quality.

September 20-21, 2011

·       Beginning Activity,  Creating and Maintaining Healthy Relationships Chapters 14, 15, 17, 18, Independent Activity: Conflict Resolution Websearch, Tyler Perry's House of Pain Episode or Cosby Show Episode and questions.

September 22-23, 2011

·       Beginning Activity (Ch. 1-3, 24 and 14, 15, 17, and 18 test review Paper Personality Bag presentations.

September 26-27, 2011

·      Test on Creating and Maintaining Healthy Relationships. Video selection (Akeelah and the Bee, Ron Clark Story, or Freedom Writers), take notes, and questions will follow.

September 28-29, 2011

·       Beginning Activity, Participating in the Student Organization Chapter 4, Independent Practice: FCCLA Websearch, introduce the “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” Project.
